I started a foundation to raise funds for wild animal projects in 1985. In 1988 it was named after my beloved Manx cat Zoe whose illustration remains our registered logo. We incorporated in the state of North Carolina in March 2000 and filed for non-profit status. We are a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
